Theatre interpreting: an introductory workshop
Are you interested in finding out more about BSL/English theatre interpreting?
Do you want to develop your skills for interpreting a professional or amateur play?
Would you like to gain insights from an experienced West End theatre interpreter?
If so, and you have BSL level 3 or above, then this 1 day workshop is for you!
Donna Ruane is nationally renowned for her BSL/English interpretations of London's most famous West End theatre productions. You will develop knowledge and skills that are applicable to both professional and amateur settings.
We will be covering:
- the background to theatre interpreting
- scripts: how to prepare, where to start and what to drop
- the use of BSL and SSE when interpreting in the theatre
- information about theatre contacts, preparation materials and working in the theatre.
