CSW Code of Practice
CSW Code Of Practice for Communication Support Workers for Deaf Learners and Employers Guide 2013.
This document outlines the professional code of practice required by CSWs working with deaf learners.
Issues of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, competency and personal efficiency are outlined within the code. CSWs should be fully aware of this code and follow it, as far as is reasonably practicable, in any given setting.
The document is divided into two sections. Section one defines the role of the CSW and concentrates on how the Code of Practice relates to CSWs, and section two is an employer’s guide to the Code of Practice. This updated document has been developed with the ACSW committee and is fully endorsed.
