Effective co-working – One day workshop
Examine what it means to be an effective co-interpreter, learn some co-working strategies and practice them in a safe environment.
What is this one day workshop about?
Is co-interpreting something you feel ready for? Have you tried it and felt it could have gone better? Taking on longer assignments or those with greater levels of complexity, can necessitate us working in a team, which inherently means we need to work differently to ensure the process remains smooth for us and our service users. During this workshop we will be examining what it means to be an effective co-interpreter, learn some co-working strategies and practice them in a safe environment. We will also consider how this may change when working in larger teams and when working with Deaf interpreters.
Course Code: QW303, Saturday: 10:00—17:00, 12 January ‘13
