'Sign A Song For Christmas'
Back by popular demand! Following the very successful Sign Song workshop by Caroline at City Lit's Deaf Day in April 2012, and two Sign Song workshops in July, we are offering a Christmas Signed Song workshop. Caroline is well known following her appearance signing on the stage of the Paralympics opening ceremony alongside Beverley Knight.
Whether you are deaf or hearing (preferably with at least BSL level two), you will enjoy interpreting the meaning and spirit of Christmas songs in a new and enjoyable way.
You can bring your own Christmas song either on CD or USB. The music can be from any Christmas music genre: carol, pop, film etc.
By the end of the day, you will have an opportunity to perform your signed song.
You will need to wear comfortable clothing as you will be not sitting down in this very active, vibrant workshop! No high heels are allowed due to the special wooden floor in the classroom. This workshop is not about learning vocabulary for signed songs, it is about FUN and enjoy signing ready for the Christmas season.
